Change Healthcare: Network Outage
The Cigna Group’s operations, which includes Evernorth Health Services and EviCore, have been affected by the publicly announced Change Healthcare cyber event and network outage. After becoming aware of the incident, we immediately severed system connections with Change Healthcare. There are no indications that Evernorth or EviCore’s system security is impacted, nor do we have indication that our customer data is impacted.
We are focused first and foremost on care and medications for our customers and patients, while ensuring that you have alternative options to transact with Evernorth and EviCore, as needed. We are also working to resolve any disruption from Change Healthcare’s incident for our providers, individuals, clients, and other partners as quickly as possible. We will share updates as they become available.
