As the aging population increases, the use of available treatments for cancer will accelerate. While there are no simple answers, the most effective approach to managing this rising cost segment lies in balancing reimbursement and appropriate utilization of high cost oncology and adjunctive therapy drugs. All of the CareCore Oncology programs have been designed and are overseen by board-certified hematologists and oncologists.

CareCore Oncology Management Program includes:

• Implementing appropriate reimbursement methodology on injectable and oncology medications
• Initiating appropriate injectable drug reimbursement policies, procedures and tracking
• Adopting and mapping quality standards for appropriate use of injectable and adjunctive therapies
• Implementing evidence-based criteria to manage the appropriate use and safety of high cost injectable drugs covered under both pharmacy and medical benefits
