Utilization Management of Oncology Injectable Drugs

Developed for a client in the Northeast, the BioMANAGE Program made a significant impact on cost by reducing inappropriate and poor quality utilization of erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs). The current ESA Program, part of the BioMANAGE™ process, identifies the data elements necessary to measure compliance against CareCore Oncology’s proprietary pathways and protocols, which are based on nationally recognized evidence-based clinical practice criteria established by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), and the National Kidney Foundation, among others. These pathways and protocols are supported by hematologist/oncologists who are available to interact with network physicians.
