Aetna Expands Cardiac Imaging Prior Authorization Program August 1, 2009
Effective August 1, 2009, Aetna New York and northern New Jersey HMO members will need pre-certification for non-emergent, outpatient stress echocardiography and diagnostic left heart catheterization.
Pre-Certification Process
- Stress echocardiography: Please contact CareCore National at 888-622-7329 (NY) or 888-647-5940 (NJ) to obtain authorization for these services. Authorization may also be obtained by fax to 888-444-1562 or on the web at www.carecorenational.com.
- Diagnostic left heart catheterization: Please contact CareCore National. at 888-622-7329 (NY) or 888-647-5940 (NJ) to obtain authorization for these services. Authorization may also be obtained by fax to 888-444-1562 or on the web at www.carecorenational.com.
